Memorial Day - The Missing

On this Memorial Day I recall and honor those I have known that lost their lives in the service of our country.

I also pay tribute to the families of the 83,281 American service members that remain unaccounted for.  While, perhaps, there is hope for those missing in more recent conflicts, 73,624 of those missing are from World War II, and those families are likely remembering their loved one's today, and wishing they had something more than an empty memorial to pay their respects to.
