Failed Diplomacy

I don't need to link, because if you are one of the people who happens by this little blog of mine, you are painfully aware of the violence against Americans, and others, that is taking place in the Middle East.

The president has reacted in the way we have become accustomed to - he immediately blamed someone else.  In this case, an American 'filmmaker'.  Apparently anyone with a video camera and a YouTube account is now called a 'filmmaker'.  At the memorial ceremony marking the return of the remains of four Americans killed in a terrorist attack movie protest in Libya, Hillary Clinton actually said this:
This has been a difficult week for the State Department and for our country. We’ve seen the heavy assault on our post in Benghazi that took the lives of those brave men. We’ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful Internet video that we had nothing to do with.
You are wrong, Madam Secretary.  We have everything to do with it.  All kinds of people, from all walks of life, and from every religion, come to America because our Constitution guarantees them the right to practice whatever religion they want, and to express their opinions, whether or not you agree with them, through the right of free speech.

And quite frankly, I don't give a good God damn as to the 'whys' of the situation.  When there is violence against Americans, I don't wring my hands and hope for a peaceful diplomatic outcome.  I lust for violent revenge.  I watch brown shirted thugs arrest a 'filmmaker' in what is surely meant to be a very public show to appease the protestors, and feel the bile rise in my throat.  Sudan won't let us send our own Marines to protect our embassy.  I wanted to put my foot through the television when Clinton became Libya's apologists and blamed 'a small and savage group...not the people or government of Libya'.

Ugh.  This is not my America.

Yup, and guess who took a million dollar donation from the filmmaker...I will give you one guess. And it wasn't Mitt.
