Attention Vonage Users

If you are out of contract and paying more than $5 a month, give them a call.

I am in the process of dissolving all corporate accounts associated with the non-profit I work(ed) for. One of the MOST frustrating parts of doing this is that every single entity that enables you to create accounts online refuses to let you cancel service in the same way. I have spent my morning on the phone with numerous entities, running the 'what if we make you this fantastic deal so you won't cancel' gauntlet.

Apparently, people in overseas call centers don't grasp that a business closing means that their services are no longer required.

Back to Vonage: after two increasingly lower offers than what we were paying per month, the rep made a last ditch effort and offered a rate of $4.99 per month with unlimited incoming calls, with a price guarantee for life.

If you are a Vonage user, you might want to have a go at that. Keep saying no until they get to their final, final, final offer. Heck, tell them you know they have the ability to offer $4.99.

If you are also in the market for music licensing, hit me up for that deal.
