June 6, 2012

Blogger seems to have eaten my scheduled post, but I can't let the day pass without saying something about the day:

For the anniversary of D-Day 2012, I will memorialize James Earl Rudder and his Rangers.  My heart swells with pride each time I visit the campus of Texas A&M University and see the many ways he is immortalized there.  He was a Texan, an Aggie, a Major General, a mayor, the president of TAMU and an American war hero.  He is remembered in Normandy each year, among many other places.  Today, he is remembered here, along with all of those other brave soldiers that landed on those beaches sixty-eight years ago today.  God Bless You.

It is too bad that we remember and the cooncracker ignores.

Hail the victorious dead!
