Happy Thanksgiving with bonus recipe

Here is a recipe that uses popcorn as a stuffing - imagine that. When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.

14-16 lb. Turkey
1-cup melted butter
1-cup dry stuffing mix (like Pepperidge Farm)
1-cup uncooked popcorn
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush chicken well with melted butter, then salt and pepper. Fill the cavity with the stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the neck end towards the back of the oven. Listen for the popping sounds. When the turkey's ass blows the oven door open, it's done.

And you thought I couldn't cook.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours - with a special thought and prayer to those who spend this holiday away from home in service to our country.  Thank you!

After spending several hours wrestling with turkeys and side dishes, I wish I'd seen your recipe first. LOL!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, and to those who can't be with their loved ones.
