FOD

Today, Blowie will be officially sending his latest stimulus package to Congress, thinly disguised as the 'American Jobs Act'.

Before the bill text is released, you can brush up on the basics here, on the 'fact sheet and overview' page.  This is a comprehensive outline of the talking points that Blowie will be using as he campaigns in visits North Carolina and Ohio this week.  One of the up sides to taking a month to unveil his big plan, was that it gave some West Wing Wonks time enough to type up a state by state analysis of what this latest stimulus jobs plan will do.  You can click here to find out what great things are headed to your state.

While I would never expect Blowie to acknowledge, on the White House website, that the stimulus jobs bill has detractors, I do think it is disingenuous to dedicate a page to 'state and local officials responding to the Act' - and have every quote on the page be a glowing endorsement.  Right alongside the latest email missive from the White House, I also had one from my congressman, linking to his weekly video address, dedicated to reaction to the Jobs Act and titled, 'We Can Do Better'.

Oh yes, we can do much better.

Whoever ends up going head to head with the magic Jesus in 2012 should use "Yes We Can. We Can Do Better!" for their campaign slogan. The sheeple just eat that crap up; look what it did for TOTUS in '08...
